Pop or popular music is a broad term which describes music that has a popular appeal and often marketed to young audiences. Pop includes elements from many other styles of music including Rock, R&B, Latin, Country, Blues, Soul and Jazz and usually fits a basic format of short to medium length songs emphasizing on melodic tunes and hooks. Pop artists can often times become larger than just their music when their celebrity launches them into super-stardom like Elvis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Beyonce and Jay Z.
