Learn to play Reggae Drums
Reggae originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s with strong influences from calypso, jazz and R&B. The bass guitar plays a major role while the drum beats and the guitar emphasize the off beat that gives Reggae its signature sound. While Bob Marley is by far the most famous Reggae artist with worldwide success, there have been many Reggae artists that have found global recognition like Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff, Steel Pulse and Bob Marley’s sons Ziggy Marley, Damian Marley, and Stephen Marley.
Now you can learn to play Reggae on the drums from Master Teacher Jim McCall right here at Ultimate Drumming. Jim has been playing the drums professionally since the age of 15 and studied with the great Henry Adler of NYC for 8 years back in the day. Check out Jim’s bio for more information.
