Learn to play the drums – Reggae

Reggae originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s with strong influences from calypso, jazz and R&B. The bass guitar plays a major role while the drum beats and the guitar emphasize the off beat that gives Reggae its signature sound. While Bob Marley is by far the most famous Reggae artist with worldwide success, there have been many Reggae artists that have found global recognition like Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff, Steel Pulse and Bob Marley’s sons Ziggy Marley, Damian Marley, and Stephen Marley.
