Learn to play the drums – Funk

Funk started in the 1960’s when artists began combining Soul, Jazz and R&B emphasizing the drums and electric bass creating a strong rhythmic groove. James Brown, one of the founders of Funk is also known as the Godfather of Soul. James distinguished himself with a signature sound that other artists used and built upon.
